Sure, Neverland is magical in many ways but that magic isn't enough, there has to be a will as well. You see, most children do want to grow up, even when they say they don't. It's a fundamental part of being human; the subconscious desire to reach your full potential. But Peter is different. He doesn't grow up simply because he refuses to."
"Why?" she asked.
The old man shrugged. "No one knows and no one asks. But it seems as if something happened to Peter, something quite terrible that made him resent the very thought of growing up.
